1. Introduction
EdgeBook ("we", "our", "the extension") is a Chrome extension developed by TradersEdge (tradersedge.nl). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.
2. Data We Collect
The extension collects the following data:
- Email address and account information (via login)
- API authentication token (stored locally in Chrome storage)
- Trade data captured from TradingView and Ufunded (entry price, stop loss, take profit, direction, ticker, timestamps)
- Screenshots of trading charts (generated at the moment of capture)
- Extension settings and preferences (stored locally on your device)
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Authenticate you with your EdgeBook account
- Store and display your personal trading journal
- Generate personal performance statistics and analytics
- Synchronize your settings across sessions
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We work with the following third-party services to operate the extension:
Base44
Application hosting and database storage. Trade data and account information is stored on Base44 infrastructure (base44.app). Only data necessary for your journal is shared.
Resend
Email delivery for newsletter and account notifications. Only your email address is shared with Resend for this purpose (resend.com).
5. Data Storage and Retention
- Data is stored securely on Base44 infrastructure
- Screenshots are stored and linked to your trade journal entries
- You can delete your data at any time via your account settings or by contacting us
- We retain your data for as long as your account is active
- Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed
6. Local Storage
The extension stores the following data locally in Chrome storage on your device:
- Your API key (used to authenticate with EdgeBook)
- Extension preferences (modifier key setting, last captured trade)
This locally stored data never leaves your device unless explicitly sent to EdgeBook via the save function.
7. Chrome Permissions
The extension requires the following Chrome permissions:
activeTab / tabs
To capture a screenshot of the current trading chart at the moment you log a trade.
storage
To save your API key and extension settings locally on your device.
scripting
To read trade data (entry, stop loss, take profit) from the TradingView and Ufunded interface.
No browsing history or data from other websites is ever collected.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data at any time
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request permanent deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent and unsubscribe from communications at any time
